Freescore.com Billboard Concept
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
THE BRIEF
Pitch a new billboard advertising campaign for Vertrue’s largest product, FreeScore.com. FreeScore.com is a membership-based website that allows customers to access all three of their credit scores from the 3 major bureaus. Other features include access to insurance scores, fraud services, and email alerts.
THE SOLUTION
FreeScore.com had a history of utilizing a more playful approach to their marketing with past spokespeople being Ben Stein, a talking squirrel and “The 3 Credit Score guys”. The idea of the 3 Little Pigs was the perfect way to keep with the lighter tone of the FreeScore brand, while also being relatable to everyone familiar with the classic fairy tale. The main idea was that each of the pigs had different credit scores that were affecting their lives in different ways. Each of the house’s construction stayed true to the story, and their clothing helped tie the visual to the headline. The headline “Only One Had a Good Score” was able to work across all 3 concepts. The company ended up up cutting the funding of the project so it never moved past the pitch stage.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Broad variety of demographics; anyone looking to learn their credit scores from the 3 bureaus or looking for more credit information.
