Savage Posters Branding & Ecommerce Website
About This Project
The Brief
Savage Posters is a small business startup that creates personalized sport posters from photographs uploaded by the customer. The vistor gets to chose from a variety of templates based off a specific sport, upload their photo and Savage Posters will ship a highly-stylized, professional, custom poster featuring the athlete. Collateral needed waslogo design, ecommerce wordpress website, signage, stickers and handouts.
The Solution
First action item was to create the branding of the company starting with their logo design. The client wanted a logo in the vein of the Supreme logo. Simple, cool, youthful. They liked the idea of having the name of the company be the focal point of the logo and not cluttering it with a icon or mascot. I decided upon a glitch or offset effect to the main font to give it a edgy feel that conveyed movement and speed. Next was the UX/UI of the ecommerce website. The ecommerce portion of the wordpress site was built with the powerful WooCommerce funcionality. I wanted the focus to be on the actual poster templates so I designed the UI to drive the user into easily viewing and selecting one of the template options. There was also a resource center that highlighted how the process works and various things to consider that needs to be designed and built out in a blog format. The main challenge of the site was considering all the various options upon ordering (poster size, quantity, name, jersey number, team name, and number of photos to composite. Lastly, there were various forms of print colateral that needed to be produced including banners, booth signage, posters, handouts, stickers, and ordering sheets.
