“Faceless” Linkedin Ad
ABOUT THIS PROJECT
THE BRIEF
NOTE: This was a personal project and not an actual client project.
Inspiration can spark at any time and I often find myself concepting ideas for well-known companies to challenge myself as a creative professional. Linkedin is a company that I have not seen much print advertising for and I wanted to see if I could come up with a concept that a person looking for a job could connect with as well as an ad that would stand out in a newspaper or magazine and capture the readers attention.
THE SOLUTION
Being one of the largest job search sites in the world, most people are already familiar with the Linkedin brand so I knew I could play up a strong visual with minimal copy. I wanted to come up with an idea that a person searching for a new job could relate to. The idea that most people in a corporate setting feel like a small cog within a larger organization is something that applies to a large part of the U.S. workforce. This striking visual coupled with the “faceless” headline takes a slightly fear-based approach challenging the reader to consider their own career path. The tagline “You’re the missing link” is a playful line to tie to the company name as well as ending on an inspirational and hopeful note.
